"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee"
- Muhammad Ali
I believe we will see just how crafty Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts is in a few months, like in October when the real nastiness of the election hits.
The past ... animosity
Over the past few years President Obama has regularly talked trash about the Supreme Court. He's looked at the Court as a roadblock to his power and not the distinctly separate branch of government that it is. It's in Obama's nature as an old community organizer and he's made it publicly obvious many times.
Just one example: Obama's 2010 State of the Union speech where he tried to embarrass the Supreme Court in front of the entire world ... "Last week, the Supreme Court reversed a century of law to open the floodgates for special interests - including foreign corporations - to spend without limit in our elections,"
which is not true by the way.
You know that old saying "Paybacks are a bitch"? Yesterday, Roberts and his swing vote dished out political vengeance with a long inextinguishable fuse.
The present ... define the law
Remember that Congress, by law, holds the purse strings of the Federal Government. The IRS, who is the enforcer, is only part of Obama's Treasury Department but it is Congress and the President who write the tax code. The increase in "taxes" from the Affordable Health Care Act (Obamacare) to business and individuals are now a major political headache for the Senate and House of Representatives regardless of party. Basically saying "It's your's, now suck it up!"
By legally re-characterizing the Obamacare penalties as a "Tax" the Court has also given Mitt Romney political ammunition that Romney never saw coming. Romney is known famously as a numbers freak. At Bain Capital he was known for his mastery of financial data. He is at last explaining economic data in plain language that everyday people can understand which is what he's needed to do for months now. Doh!
Whatever the case, the old "mandates" are now legally taxes. That is a serious game changer and it's going to be hard to find people who want more taxes ... and very hard to justify to anyone but the very rich, the dirt poor, and the Kool-Aid drinkers.
The future ... was that a left hook to the jaw?
The last thing anyone wants is another "tax" and this Court ruling gives us dozens of new "taxes". I'm not sure of the mechanism by which Romney feels he can repeal Obamacare, that remains to be seen. Even if he's not elected there just may be a Republican Congressional majority in November who can. All the Congressional cheerleaders for Obamacare now have to explain the new taxes. Ouch!
Face it, people are punch drunk with this recession and want to get back to work. It's even difficult for the government to fake the numbers like they used to do in the good old days. More regulations and taxes aren't going to help anyone or any company recover.
I've just got a hunch that yesterday's ruling was a torpedo in the boiler room for the Obama campaign that he won't be able to recover from ... just a hunch.
My 2¢ ...
Personally, I think there's many really good things in the health care plan that should have been passed decades ago back in President Johnson's administration like health screening, pre-existing conditions and, not being dropped for new illnesses. A lot of the pure evil of the health care insurance industry was addressed in Obamacare. What hopefully may never come to pass is some government bureaucrat standing between you and your Doctor telling them that they have to ignore their Hippocratic Oath and follow government policy instead of looking out for you best interests or saving your life.
Thanks for reading,
Frank ...
PS,
Memo to: Stuart Stevens, Romney campaign adviser
Like the halfwit know-it-alls of John McCain's 2008 campaign failed to realize until it was too late, this election is yours to lose.

Happy May Day Comrades! ... NOT!
"May Day", or, International Workers Day originated from angry reaction to the Chicago Illinois Haymarket riot of 1886. The day is also commonly known worldwide as a big rabble rousing day of demonstration and riots by Marxists, Communists, Socialists, Anarchists, and assorted collectivists.
With that in mind, here's an illustration of the grisly inhuman result from the collective mindset of these so called "progressives" . The fascists and right wing murderers of history are just as guilty and have their atrocities as well but nothing, absolutely nothing like you're about to see.

Numbers just don't do this history justice so I'll present this in an unconventional way on a scale that everyone can understand, or can you? ... I still can't.
Here we go ...
Here we go ...
This is the fan packed Lincoln Financial Field Football Stadium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA.
It holds 67,594 people.

And here are some of the 20th Century crimes against humanity by Socialist and Communist regimes. It even has a name, Democide, which is a government murdering it's citizens using genocide, politicide, or mass murder.
I'm only including estimated civilian deaths as a result of Communist, Socialist, or collectivist political conflict. No statistics are included from direct military combat involving external powers, for example, World Wars I and II or the Korean War.
I deliberately chose estimates on the low end of the ranges.

That's a lot of dead civilian Men, Women, and Children from the 20th Century that were murdered for political reasons.
but it's just a number right?
Once again, here's Lincoln Financial Field with room for 67,594 people.
Hmmm, 99,615,000 people divided by 67,594 is ...
At least 1,473 American football stadiums which you would need to hold all of the people murdered by their own collectivist governments!
Most of this was done LEGALLY
The truth is, it's all about
raw power in the hands of a few,
nothing else
nothing else
Remember this the next time you hear some ignorant fool cry about how things aren't fair in America ...
Or, how your wealth needs to be redistributed to others because the government deems them more deserving of YOUR money ...
Or, how only government can stop "terrorism" if you would only hand over your Rights and freedoms ...
Or, how some faceless bureaucrat creates another needless regulation declaring that they can run your company better than you ...
Or, if some government stooge says we're not paying enough for gasoline in the middle of a global financial crisis ...
And especially if some elected official deliberately creates division and distrust between the races, ethnic, gender, and income groups in YOUR country for political gain ... remember what these kind of politics eventually did to these people.
They ALWAYS said that THEY had the solution.

The Dumb Blond Replies Ahmadinejad/Columbia University
I hope you laugh as much as I did at this.
Warning: strong language aimed at stupid college students.
It's a paradox that the institutions of higher learning are havens for people with so much book knowledge and not even so much of a clue about the world outside academics.
This woman is dead on in her analysis of Iran and the US.
It also reminds me that ... I always have thought of Jimmy Carter as a nit wit.
Before you bitch at me about Shah Pahlavi, yes, he was a bastard, just like every other middle eastern ruler. You can't argue that the average Iranian was better off then as opposed to now.

A project whose time is past due.
Mapping Shari'a is a new project dedicated to mapping Muslim organizations which promote Jihad (Holy War) in the United States. The Mapping Shari'a Project web page describes why an undertaking like this is relevant. At issue is nothing less than the US Constitution.
This isn't some Rightwingnut or Leftist moonbat issue. One part of this global war, is about the submission of secular governments, that's us, to Islamic Shari'a law by whatever means the Islamists can find. One look at what's happened in Europe should be enough.
The Islamic armed training camps are here already.
The fact that CAIR, the Council on American Islamic Relations, is pissed off at this project is enough to take notice.

Another look at Dhimmitude
You owe yourself a few minutes to read this link from the Blue Star Chronicles on Dhimmitude.
Political correctness will get us nowhere fast except to more attacks on the US and Islamic Sharia law creeping into our laws. The camel already has it's nose under the tent thanks to political whores, leftards, the Mass media, and Hollywood. One needs only to look across the pond at Europe to see what's in store for us if we don't shove this PC pig shit right back in their face.
Nowhere in the US Constitution, THE law of the land, is Allah mentioned. God sure is and I roll with His team.
Hell people, even John Quincy Adams in 1830 knew what this screwball religion was about!
“Unsigned essays dealing with the Russo-Turkish War, and on Greece, written while JQA was in retirement, before his election to Congress in 1830” [Chapters X-XIV (pp. 267-402) in The American Annual Register for 1827-28-29. New York, 1830.]

Islamic Rage Boy: Islamic Activist
Just thought I'd lighten things up and introduce you to Islamic Rage Boy.
Shakeel Bhatt is a Kashmiri professional protester (otherwise known in the west as an activist).
He's become almost a caricature of himself but describes himself as doing Allah's will.
So now Shakeel's a cult figure on the web.
The Guardian has some of his newswire photos here. The blog Snapped Shot has more of his extensive portfolio here.
Awhile back, Snapped Shot had a hilarious Photoshop Party with his ugly mug.
Click on the photo to go to the funnies.

And if that weren't enough, you too can get your own Islamic Rage Boy merchandise at The Nose On Your Face web store. Click on the bumper sticker for tee shirts, etc. ...

For the rest of the story, Wikipedia has an entry for Shakeel Bhatt.
It's a strange world.

Muslim ambassadors: ‘Sweden needs to change its laws’

Muslim ambassadors: ‘Sweden needs to change its laws’
Ambassadors from Muslim countries have indicated that they intend to present the Swedish prime minister with a list of demands when they meet for talks on Friday.
Fredrik Reinfeldt invited the ambassadors from 20 Muslim countries to government offices on Friday following a wave of protests from Muslim countries after the publication of a caricature of Muhammad in local newspaper Nerikes Allehanda.Reinfeldt’s press secretary Oscar Hållén was unable to say which countries had confirmed their attendance.
Egyptian ambassador Mohamed Sotouhi told news agency TT that he and a group of fellow ambassadors had agreed on a list of measures Sweden needed to take if it was to secure a long-term solution to the Muhammad cartoon controversy.
According to Sotouhi, “comprehensive measures” were required if Sweden was to prevent some “amateur artist” from reawakening tensions every other month.
“We want to see action, not just nice words. We have to push for a change in the law,” he said.
“Muslims need legal protection against the desecration of the Prophet Muhammad, maybe something similar to the protection enjoyed by Jews and homosexuals.”
While praising the “very constructive steps” taken by Fredrik Reinfeldt, the Egyptian ambassador said that Sweden had much work left to do.
“In the long term the school curriculum has to convince pupils that if they want to express their opinion they should do so in such a way that it doesn’t cause offence or hurt. This should also be part of journalism training,” said Sotouhi.
“A permanent parliamentary committee also needs to be established to tackle islamophobia,” he added.
The ambassador urged Reinfeldt to strive towards “reaching a balance between freedom of speech and taking responsibility to avoid offending Muslims or other religious groups in this society”.My take on this:
Screw any form of political correctness to appease these bastards.
I think that Muslims all over the world should first clean up their perverted religion before they start telling others that they're offended. I myself am offended by many things like beheadings, skyscraper bombings, desecrating my flag, and especially ANY other religion, primarily Islam, treating me as subordinate to them. Maybe Europe will wake up and grow a backbone. Don't be surprised if there's an American backlash towards these assholes when they try to impose their Sharia law bullshit into our legal system. Remember this Islamic ass wipes, our Second Amendment protects all the others.

Nit Wit French Propoganda Exposed
I don't normally condone playing with guns, here's an exception.Click on the image to open The Dissident Frogman's site.
This is a hilarious reply to a fake news story by the French news agency AFP. Yeah, French, no surprise. The page gives some background on the story but the video is funny as hell.
How this story got past the editors at AFP is a mystery unless they really are idiots. Nevertheless, this disinformation is the kind of amateur crap that incites the Arab morons of the world.
Funny out takes after the credits too!
I'm waiting for the Dissident Frogman's Che-Mickey tee shirts to come out. Sign me up.

How Modern Liberals Think
This video is long at 48 minutes but give it a few minutes of your time.
In the MSM (mainstream media) it's easy to find what Evan Sayet is talking about.
And it's time for me to dust off this quote ...
“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder[er] is less to fear.”
